17" SHIRLEY TEMPLE IN ORIGINAL TRUNK, WITH EXTRA CLOTHES
Marks: Shirley Temple // Cop Ideal // N&T Co. on head, Shirley Temple // 17 on back; movie stickers on original trunk. All composition doll has hazel sleep eyes with real lashes, feathered brows, painted lower lashes, open mouth with six upper teeth, original mohair wig in original set, jointed at shoulders and hips. Dressed in original blue/white dress from “Stand Up and Cheer” movie, original underwear combination, replaced rayon socks, original shoes, replaced hair ribbon. Contained in her original 20” wooden trunk with movie stickers, two cardboard drawers and metal bracket for hanging her extra clothes: pink dress from “Baby Take a Bow”, flower print dress with smocked bodice and white collar from one of her movies, blue flowered pajamas and a homemade gold coat. Doll and clothing are in played-with condition, with paint wear on her arms and legs; clothing has been washed and has no tags, shoes are stitched on as snaps are missing; some stickers on trunk are incomplete. A very collectible ensemble that brought many people pleasure during a troubled time in our nation’s history. $895
