22" ALEXANDER PRINCESS ELIZABETH
Marks: Princess Elizabeth//Alexander Doll Co. on head, “Princess Elizabeth”// Madame Alexander, N.Y.//All Rights Reserved on tags on dress and coat. All composition doll, blue sleep eyes with real lashes, feathered brows, painted lower lashes, open mouth with four upper teeth, original human hair wig in original set, jointed at shoulders and hips. Dressed in original light blue dotted Swiss dress, blue coat with velvet collar and cuffs, blue hat with flower trim, original underwear and shoes, replaced vintage socks. Overall general crazing, two fine cracks below each eye and one above each eye, eyes were cloudy and have been oiled to restore color. Doll appears unplayed-with; clothing is lightly aged, coat slightly faded and discolored. A scarce large size of the popular character doll, in a complete outfit of original clothing. $550

12" 1957 SHIRLEY TEMPLE GIFT SET
Marks: Ideal Doll//ST-12 on head, Shirley Temple Doll wrist tag, Shirley//Temple on vinyl purse, Shirley Temple Doll label on end of box. All vinyl doll, hazel sleep eyes with molded lashes, open/closed mouth with six upper teeth, rooted synthetic hair in original set, jointed at shoulders and hips. Dressed in original pink nylon slip and panties, white rayon socks, black vinyl shoes. Doll is contained in original wardrobe box with red/white striped dress with white trim, turquoise nylon dress with attached taffeta slip and white lace trim, yellow cotton dress with red trim, white pique hat with red trim and red sunglasses, and dark turquoise vinyl raincoat with matching rain scarf and purse. Doll is unplayed-with, dresses still stapled to cardboard inserts, raincoat is loose but complete. Red/white striped dress has light age spots. Box is in excellent condition, with normal aging. A wonderful and complete example of an unplayed-with character doll from the 1950’s. $825

15" ALEXANDER MCGUFFEY ANA, BOXED
Marks: Princess Elizabeth//Alexander Doll on head,”McGuffey Ana” tag on dress, McGuffey Ana label on box. All composition doll, blue sleep eyes with real lashes, single stroke brows, shadow over eyes, open mouth with four upper teeth, original human hair wig in braids, composition body jointed at shoulders and hips. Dressed in original plaid dress with pants attached, original white pinafore, socks and shoes; contained in original box. Hat may not be original, but picture on label does not show a hat. Few craze lines on face, with two below left eye and one below right eye, few lines of crazing on arms and legs; box is lightly worn, with repairs and pieces missing from lid, pinafore has been washed, clothing generally shows aging. A wonderful example of the popular Alexanders of the 30’s. $550

14" IDEAL TONI DOLL, BOXED
Marks: Ideal Doll on head, Ideal Doll//90 W on back, original Toni Walker Doll wrist tag, in original labeled and illustrated box. All hard plastic doll, blue sleep eyes with real lashes, multi-stroke brows, painted lower lashes, closed mouth, original blond nylon wig in original set with hair net, jointed at shoulders and pin jointed at hips, with walker mechanism attached to head, to turn head as doll “walks”. Dressed in original cranberry polished cotton dress with white/blue polka dot organdy overlay, trimmed with lace, red rick-rack, red ribbon and white flowers at waist, original panties, socks and white vinyl shoes, red ribbon in hair. Doll is contained, unplayed-with, in original box with original Play Wave Set, with a bottle of Play Wave Lotion (dried up), tube of Crème Shampoo, 12 Spin Curlers in box, end papers and instructions. By the appearance of the doll, the set is unused. The doll has lovely coloring with matte finish on her face, mint clothing and hair; cardboard insert holding Play Wave box glued on a couple tears; color of original box has aged, one torn dent from a thumb on the lid. A fabulous example of one of the most popular dolls made in the 1950’s. $525
