In my opinion, these lights are worth their weight in gold to doll collectors. They are small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, in a purse or a pocket. They have a clip so they can be attached to the bill of a cap, or on an edge of something to be used during doll repair. The white light, especially, is useful for this. It can be set on the table, with the positionable light pointed up to shine inside a composition body during stringing to help you see the elastic as you put it through the body. These lights are made in the USA, and are guaranteed for life. They use three AAA batteries, which are included. The bulb itself will not wear out. Until now, to use a black light at a doll show or auction, it was necessary to crawl under a table to have an area dark enough to use the black light. That will not be necessary with this UV Black Light! It will be effective even in bright lighting, directly under a window, or in natural daylight. It is to be used on the outside of a bisque head to show hairlines and some repairs. It will not show all repairs on bisque, as most paint used for repairs blacklights purple, and so does bisque. It will also show repaint on composition, wood and cloth. Most original paint on dolls blacklights a lighter color than the actual paint, while repaint on these dolls normally blacklights purple.  LED WHITE LIGHT
The LED White Light is to be used to show repairs on bisque head dolls. It is to be shined inside the doll’s head. The repair or repaint will be opaque, while the bisque is more translucent. The plaster used to hold the eyes in place will also show opaque (we have used this to illustrate how a repair would look, as we had no dolls with repair available), so don’t confuse it with a repair. Personally, I think the most effective use of these lights is by the pair. They complement each other well, each being used for a different purpose.
